Advertising Guidelines
Advertising Philosophy
At PlayToEarn, we believe that ads should enhance and align with the overall user experience. The best ads are those that are specifically tailored to our Play-to-Earn crypto players, based on how they search for new games and interact with the crypto projects that matter to them. These guidelines are not intended to serve as legal advice, and adherence to these guidelines does not necessarily constitute legal compliance. Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that their ads comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and statutes.
  1. Ad Content Standards
All ads must be honest, accurate, and not misleading. Ads may not contain:
    • Deceptive Content: Ads must not include misleading, fraudulent, or false information
    • Illegal Products or Services: Ads may not promote any illegal products, services, or activities in the applicable jurisdiction(s) where the ads are shown.
    • Sensitive Content: Ads should not contain shocking, sensational, or excessively violent content. Hate speech, threats, or any content that promotes violence or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation is prohibited.
    • Restricted Content: Ads related to alcohol, gambling, pharmaceuticals, adult content, or other sensitive categories must comply with local laws and require PlayToEarn’s prior written approval.
    • Personal Data: Ads may not misuse any personal data obtained from users without their explicit consent. All data collection must comply with the PlayToEarn Privacy Policy.
  2. Ad Targeting
Ads must target appropriate audiences, taking into consideration the product, service, and audience location. The following restrictions apply:
    • Age-Restricted Products: Ads for products such as alcohol, tobacco, or gambling must only be targeted to individuals of legal age in their country of residence.
    • Misleading Targeting: Advertisers must not mislead users about the nature of the product or service being advertised.
    • Location-Targeted Ads: Ads targeting specific geographic regions must comply with local laws and restrictions in those regions.
  3. Prohibited Practices
To maintain the integrity of the PlayToEarn platform, the following practices are strictly prohibited:
    • Malware and Spyware: Ads must not contain any form of malware, spyware, or code that attempts to compromise user devices.
    • Clickbait: Ads designed to mislead users into clicking through to content irrelevant to the ad are prohibited.
    • Unsubstantiated Claims: All claims made in ads must be backed by credible evidence.
    • Unauthorized Use of Trademarks or Copyrights: Ads must not violate any intellectual property rights. Advertisers are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary permissions for all content, including trademarks, logos, and images.
  4. Ad Placement
Ads on PlayToEarn.com must not interfere with the user experience. The following principles apply to placement:
    • Relevance: Ads must be relevant to the audience they are being shown to.
    • No Interruption of Core Features: Ads should not disrupt or interfere with core user interactions or experiences, including gameplay within PlayToEarn games.
    • Clarity: Ads must be clearly distinguishable from organic content. Misleading users into thinking an ad is organic content is prohibited.
  5. Approval and Review Process
All ads submitted for placement on PlayToEarn.com are subject to review to ensure compliance with these guidelines. Ads may be approved, rejected, or removed at PlayToEarn’s sole discretion for the following reasons:
    • Non-Compliance: Ads that do not comply with these guidelines or applicable laws will be rejected or removed.
    • Changes to Policy: PlayToEarn reserves the right to modify or update these guidelines at any time. Advertisers are responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest policy changes.
  6. Advertiser Responsibilities
Advertisers must ensure that their ads comply with all applicable local laws, including but not limited to:
    • Consumer Protection Laws: Ads must comply with local consumer protection laws regarding advertising, promotions, and online sales
    • Privacy and Data Protection: Advertisers are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable data privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the EU and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the US, where applicable.
  7. Reporting Violations
Users may report ads they believe violate these guidelines through our reporting system. PlayToEarn.com will investigate reported violations and take appropriate action, including removal of offending ads and potential suspension of advertiser accounts.
  8. Data Privacy and Compliance
    • GDPR and CCPA Compliance: Ads that collect personal data must adhere to all applicable data privacy laws, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the EU and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the United States. Explicit user consent is required for data collection.
